primary headache: A headache that is not caused or related to a health problem. More than 90 percent of headaches are primary.
rebound headache: A headache that results from overusing pain medication. Common among migraine sufferers.
secondary headache: A headache caused by an underlying medical condition such as a brain tumor or head injury.
status migraine: A long-lasting, severely painful headache that can span three days and require hospitalization for pain relief.
stress management: Techniques that migraine sufferers can use to reduce muscle tension in the neck and shoulders, areas that can aggravate and cause headaches.
