A-E | F-J | K-O | P-S | T-Z

triptans: Drugs often used to treat moderate to severe migraine pain. Triptans alter the brain's perception of migraine pain and narrow the brain's blood vessels, thus reducing the pressure in pain-sensitive areas.

vascular headache: A headache, usually a migraine, whose source is the contraction and dilation of blood vessels.

wake-sleep pattern: The pattern of waking and sleeping. Missing or getting too much sleep can trigger migraine headaches in some sufferers.
